John Franklin Branning

     John Franklin Branning was born on Thursday, 17 November 1870 at Reach Twp., Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada. This was a delayed registration, filed in 1872 on the same day as his sister Elizabeth's registration was filed. Dr. F. Brathwaite and Abraham Branning attended at the birth. He witnessed the marriage of John William Holdershaw and Priscilla Branning. He and Margaret Baird, daughter of Samuel Baird and Rebecca Matthews, were married by Reverend J. M. Cameron on Wednesday, 2 February 1898 at Reach Twp., Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada. He was 28, living in High View, born in Epsom, bachelor, farmer, Methodist. She was 29, born and living in High View, spinster, Presbyterian. Kate Terry and Richard Branning witnessed the marriage. John died on Friday, 10 May 1963 at the CNIB Clarkwood Residence, Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada, at age 92 years, 5 months and 23 days. He was buried on Monday, 13 May 1963 at Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada.
