Elizabeth died on Wednesday, 2 April 1947 at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada, at age 65 years, 9 months and 13 days. She was buried on Saturday, 5 April 1947 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada.
