     Charles Gordon Nevison was born in 1898 at Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. He began military service on 10 July 1916 at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, when he signed his attestation papers, becoming regimental #261638. He was living in Melfort, Sask., born March 29 1899 in Regina, assistant butter maker, listed his father as his next of kin. He was considered fit to serve and described as: 5" 4½" tall, fair complexion, brown eyes, dark brown hair, Presbyterian. He and Bernice Maud Hebner, daughter of Hiram Hebner and Alice Houseman, were married by Reverend N. H. McGillivray on Monday, 2 May 1921 at Orillia, Simcoe Co., Ontario, Canada. She was 24, spinster, cook, Presbyterian, living in Orillia, born in Huntsville, able to read and write. He was 23, fireman, bachelor, Presbyterian, living in Orillia, born in Regina, able to read and write. Olive Groves and John Danton witnessed the marriage. Charles died on Monday, 4 January 1954 at Niagara Falls, Niagara Co., New York, USA, at age 56 years.
