     Guy Jospeh Hodgkinson was born on Thursday, 17 September 1885 at Taylor Falls, Minnesota, USA. In 1913 he had his leg run over by the local train. He was carried to the village hall, where his leg was amputated. Guy was eventually fitted with an artificial leg that was partially made of cork and squeaked loudly when he walked. He was a local handyman and sought after as a chimney sweep, painter and wall paper hanger. He was also an excellent cook and worked in several eateries in downtown Taylor Falls. He spent most of his adult life inebriated, although he was known to be always kind and as a person who never swore. He remained single and spent much of his later life working in Minneapolis returning to his home on Hill Street frequently. Guy died on Wednesday, 1 August 1945 at Chisago Co., Minnesota, USA, at age 59 years, 10 months and 15 days. He was buried at Kahbakong Cemetery, Taylor Falls, Chisago Co., Minnesota, USA.
