Elizabeth Anne Longhurst

     Elizabeth Anne Longhurst was born circa 1879 at Scott Twp., Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada. She witnessed the marriage of Jacob R. Meyers and Nancy Leitch. She and Charles Leitch, son of Samuel Leitch and Martha Ann Phoenix, were married by Reverend H. E. Kemp on Wednesday, 25 September 1901 at Brown Hill, York Co., Ontario, Canada. He was 21, born in Scott Twp., bachelor, farmer, Methodist. She was 22, born in Scott Twp., spinster, Methodist. Emily Mary Longhurst and Rebecca Luther witnessed the marriage. Elizabeth died on Thursday, 11 March 1920 at the Ontario Asylum Hospital, Mimico, York Co., Ontario, Canada, of pneumonia, lasting for 10 days. The death certificate states she was in the Asylum for 8 years and that she was to be buried in Mount Albert. Dr. F. L. Neely attended at the death. Charles Leitch was listed as the informant.
