William George Penrose Rook

     William George Penrose Rook was born on Wednesday, 18 February 1874 at Prince Albert, Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada. He and Elizabeth Lucette Shearer, daughter of John Edward Shearer and Mary Elizabeth Hebner, were married by Reverend Lewis W. Hill on Wednesday, 11 December 1895 at Toronto Junction, York Co., Ontario, Canada. She was 22, spinster, born in Myrtle Ontario, living at 25 Salsbury Ave., Toronto, Church of England (Anglican). He was 22, bachelor, Trimmer, born Prince Albert, Ontario, living at Salsbury Ave., Toronto, Methodist. John Murphy and Rose Dempsey witnessed the marriage. William died on Tuesday, 6 October 1936 at 35 Cheritan Ave., Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada, at age 62 years, 7 months and 18 days, due to carcinoma of the colon. He had had an operation in 1933 and a cancer sequioid was found. Elizabeth Lucette Rook was listed as the informant. He was buried on Thursday, 8 October 1936 at St. John Norway Cemetery, Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada.
