Mary Ann Shaw

     Mary Ann Shaw was also known as Mary Jane Pace. She was born on Tuesday, 23 April 1901 at Lot 1, Conc. 12, Mariposa Twp., Victoria Co., Ontario, Canada, no physician attended and the registration was filed on May 23, 1901. She appeared on the census of 1911 in the household of Archibald Shaw at E Part 28, Front Range, Rama Twp., Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada. She was recorded as: Shaw, Mary Jane, female, daughter, single, born Apr 1900 in Ontario, age 11, of Scotch origin, Canadian, Roman Catholic, able to read, write and speak English. She and Dominic Pace, son of Donato Pace and Maria C. Biase, were married by Reverend T. A. Symington on Tuesday, 19 March 1918 at Orillia, Simcoe Co., Ontario, Canada. They are both recorded as being single and Catholic, and they were married by a Presbyterian minister. He was age 20, laborer, living in Longford Mills and intending to live in Orillia. She was age 17 and living in Longford Mills. Rae B. Main and Alice M. Symington witnessed the marriage. Mary died on Monday, 22 November 1937 at the Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Orillia, Simcoe Co., Ontario, Canada, at age 36 years, 6 months and 30 days, of rhuematic fever. Dominic Pace was listed as the informant. She was buried on Wednesday, 24 November 1937 at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Orillia, Simcoe Co., Ontario, Canada.
