Mercy Dewsbury

     Mercy Dewsbury was born in 1841 at Markham, York Co., Ontario, Canada. She and Alonzo Henry Schell, son of Mark S. Schell and Annie Gould, were married. She appeared on the census of 1871 in the household of Alonzo Henry Schell at Uxbridge Twp., Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada. She was recorded as: Shell, Mercy, female, 30, born Ontario, Methodist, of Dutch origin, married. She witnessed the marriage of William Welsh and Mary Ann Schell. Mercy died on Monday, 15 January 1906 at Lot 24, Concession 6, Uxbridge Twp., Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada, at age 65 years, of senile decay. Dr. J. A. McClintock attended at the death.
