Daniel Schell

Daniel Schell was born on Tuesday, 29 August 1815 at Markham, York Co., Ontario, Canada. He participated in the MacKenzie Rebellion and was arrested March 8, 1838. He was pardoned on finding security to keep the peace, and be of good behaviour for 3 years, and was discharged in October 1838. He and Eliza Mercer, daughter of Samuel Mercer and Ann Anderson, were married on Wednesday, 29 August 1838 at Etobicoke Twp., York Co., Ontario, Canada. He emigrated in 1880 to Riverside, California.
