Misak Yramavitch Aivazoff was born on Saturday, 15 April 1876 at Taifils, Russia. He and Aileen Louzetta Allan, daughter of Nelson Emerson and Myrtle Estelle Allan, were married on Saturday, 15 September 1917 at Seattle, King Co., Washington, USA. Myrtle Estelle Allan and William Andrew Allan witnessed the marriage. In 1922, he built the "Villa Russe" on 3390 The Crescent, Vancouver. The Aivazoff’s loved to entertain and counted Grand Duke Alexander, Serge Rachmanioff, Prince Obelinsky among their guests. Misak did not do well in the Depression. "Villa Russe" was sold to ship builder H. A. Wallce. The Aivazoff's bumped around to different Shaughnessy addresses, likely short-term rentals, and by 1938 Aileen is a landlady at a West End apartment building. Misak died on Monday, 7 June 1954 at St. Vincent's Hospital, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, at age 78 years, 1 month and 23 days, of cerebral haemorrhage.
