Viola Longhurst

     Viola Longhurst was born on Tuesday, 17 June 1919. This date is based on the death certificate of her twin Violet, while the date on the grave marker states July 1919. According to Florence (Milsted) Shaw, the babies were so small at birth, Frankie's wedding ring would fit over their wrists and they were fed with eye droppers. She appeared on the census of 1921 in the household of George Robinson Longhurst at Zephyr, Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada. She was enumerated as: Longhurst, Viola, daughter, female, single, age 3, born Ontario, both parents born Ontario, Canadian, of English origin, able to speak English, unable to speak French, Methodist. She and Ross W. B. Stevenson were married on Saturday, 7 December 1946 at Keswick, York Co., Ontario, Canada. Viola died on Monday, 17 March 1980 at age 60 years and 9 months. She was buried at Zion Cemetery, Zephyr, Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada.
