She was 35, born and living in Scarborough Twp., spinster, Methodist, father was James Phoenix. He was 52, living in Elizabethville, born in Clarke Twp., widower, farmer, Methodist. Dr. (?) Bladden and Miss. Lou Powers witnessed the marriage. He appeared as household head on the census of 6 April 1901 at Scarborough Twp., York Co., Ontario, Canada. He was listed as: Powers, Ransom S, male, white, head, married, born 7 May 1839 in Ontario, age 61, of English origin, Canadian, Methodist, farmer, working on own account, able to read, write and speak English. Edith Powers, Clair Samuel Powers, Grant R. Powers and Jane (?) Wells also appeared in the household. Ransom died on Sunday, 6 January 1918 at Unionville, York Co., Ontario, Canada, at age 78 years, 7 months and 30 days, of an intestinal haemorrhage due to bronchial asthma. Dr. Charles R.
