Samuel Harford Leitch

     Samuel Harford Leitch was also known as Hartford. He was born on Friday, 26 February 1904 at Scott Twp., Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada, and his name was registered as Harford. Dr. W. He and Bernice Evelyn Thompson, daughter of William Thompson and Mary Smith, were married by Mennonite Minister H. R. Frey on Friday, 14 March 1924 at Ravenshoe, York Co., Ontario, Canada. He was 21, bachelor, agent for the C.N.R., Presbyterian, born and living in Brown Hill. She was 18 years and 5 months, spinster, Methodist, born in Cedar Brae, living in Ravenshoe. Both were able to read and write. Stanely Miller and Dora Thompson witnessed the marriage. Samuel died in May 1980 at age 76 years and 2 months.
