Eleanor Hodgkinson

     Eleanor Hodgkinson was also known as Ellen. She was born circa 1788. She and Abraham Phoenix, son of Abraham Phoenix and Mary Brown, were married on Sunday, 14 September 1806 at Newark, (Niagara-on-the-Lake), Lincoln Co., Ontario, Canada. She petitioned for land on Monday, 22 January 1810 from Niagara, Lincoln Co., Upper Canada. She states she is from the Township of Grantham, wife of Abraham Phenix. She is also the daughter of William Hodkinson (sic) U. E. Loyalist. She is praying for 200 acres and appoints Thomas Hamilton of the town of York to be her agent.
