Mary Elizabeth Schell

     Mary Elizabeth Schell was also known as Polly. She was born in 1802 at Markham Twp., Upper Canada. She and Charles Peter Hebner, son of Nicholas Henry Hebner and Catharina Margaretha Stiefers, were married by Reverend William Jenkins on Thursday, 19 December 1822 at Richmond Hill, York Co., Ontario, Canada West. John Schell and Henry Hebner witnessed the marriage. She and William McKelvey were married. She appeared on the census of 1861 in the household of William McKelvey at Scott Twp., Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada. She was enuemrated as: Mary McKelvey, born United States, Church of England, age 57, female, married, female family member. She appeared on the census of 1871 in the household of William McKelvey at Scott Twp., Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada. She was enumerated as: McKelvie, Mary, female, age 68, born Ontario, Church of England, of German origin, married, unable to read and write. She appeared on the census of 1881 in the household of William McKelvey at Scott Twp., Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada. She was entered as: McKelvey, Mary, female, age 79, born Ontario, C. Methodist, of German origin, married. Mary died on Tuesday, 18 April 1882 at age 80 years. No death registration has been found to date. She was buried at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Zephyr, Ontario Co., Ontario, Canada.
